You may find yourself seeking support for yourself or a family member because of specific concern such as persistent worry, feeling overwhelmed, stressed or as though you are not enough, experiencing low mood, anxiety or conflict in your relationship. You may have noticed that your child or teen is acting out, having difficulties at school or in social situations, is withdrawing from family or friends, or seems irritated much of the time.
Other times it is not a specific concern that leads you or your family member to counselling, but rather wanting to move forward when feeling stuck, feeling lost, unfulfilled or dissatisfied with yourself or your life, unable to reach goals, wanting to enhance relationships, improve communication, or to better understand your or your child’s behaviour.
