Julie is a Registered Acupuncturist with a background in health sciences, yoga, and mindfulness disciplines, who completed her formal training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Burnaby, BC.
Her practice integrates traditional approaches—including Five Element theory and Japanese palpation-based acupuncture—with contemporary methods such as sports acupuncture and myofascial techniques.
Julie grounds her work in modern orthopedic assessment and functional anatomy,
while using TCM principles to guide comprehensive, individualized care.
Julie’s clinical focus is on supporting the body’s capacity for regulation and repair by addressing
nervous system stress, tissue restriction, and movement patterns.
She works with a wide range of concerns including musculoskeletal pain, myofascial dysfunction, hormonal and digestive issues, and stress-related conditions.
She has completed advanced training in concussion care and offers precise scar-mobilization techniques to support tissue mobility and function, including for C-section scars.
Initial appointments include a thorough intake and assessment, followed by a complete acupuncture treatment. Sessions may also incorporate cupping, gua sha, and manual therapy techniques as clinically appropriate.
Julie’s own experience with motherhood has shaped her approach to care. She provides thoughtful, evidence-informed support through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
